A stereoscopic camera based upon NIT Native WDR CMOS sensor...

NIT has introduced a stereoscopic camera based upon its global shutter high dynamic range CMOS sensor NSC1001.

This unit and its PC based software delivers 3D images from indoor and outdoor scenes even in very strong lighting conditions.

The 3D reconstruction software takes benefit of the extreme wide dynamic range response of the NSC1001 (>140 dB) and is free of image artifacts created by strong light in the scene.

The stereoscopic camera is particularly useful in applications where high robustness is required, such as :

  • Robotic
  • Automotive applications
  • Biomedical applications

Two NSC1001 sensors are mounted on a single PCB and are synchronized together so that a single USB pixel stream is output from the camera.

NIT provides the kit as a design reference for users who want to build their own stereoscopic application

New Imaging Technologies (NIT) aims to provide world class design of CMOS optical and imaging sensors to industrial, research, medical and defense organizations around the globe.
